Is build in South Africa by Robertson and Caine shipyard . It’s 47 foot or 14.5meters long sailing catamaran. Solid, spacious, comfortable. Able to take us between dive sites using only sails, so you can enjoy beauty of sailing without noise of the engines and fumes coming from the exhaust.
Catamarans have one important advantage over just monohull vessels. It’s more comfortable for passengers for traveling on waves. Symptoms of sea sickness are not as prevalent as on monohulls.
Our cat can sail easy 8 knots under the sail and cruise at 6 to 7 knots on engines. Maximum speed on engines is 9 knots. Maximum we achieved on Sails was 13 knots, but it all depends on wind and waves.
“Hakuna Matata” has 4 cabins each with it’s own toilet and shower. So you can enjoy your privacy at every moment. Each cabins has one double bed with a lot of shelves and storage cabinets. Over head lights makes it comfortable to read while your dive budy sleeps.
Spacious Galley and kitchen makes it comfortable to prepare and serve meals and play games or watch movies you just made through diving day.
“Hakuna Matata” is equipped with dive compressor to fill your tanks. 10 pieces of 80CF or 12Liter scuba tanks with yoke mounts. Weight belts and enough weights for every one.
We have few BC and masks, fins and snorkels in case your equipment will be lost or not working, but you should bring your own personal equipment.
12 foot or 4 meters dinghy as a dive tender, 3 paddle boards if you decide to have some fun on top of the water. Please check our pictures below to view layout and interior pictures.
